Before leaving Pandukeshwar, visit the Narsingh Temple in Joshimath, which serves as the winter seat of Lord Badrinath. During the winter months, when the Badrinath Temple closes, the idol of Lord Badri Narayan is shifted to this temple for worship. The temple also has a prophecy that the Badrinath route will close permanently when the idol’s left arm falls off.
